THERAPY
Therapy for Anxiety, Burnout, & People-Pleasing
Counselling for individuals who are tired of being the strong one — and ready to put themselves first.
You’re driven, capable, and reliable — the one others depend on. But beneath the surface, you’re overthinking, tense, and quietly running on empty. Rest feels uncomfortable. Saying no feels impossible. And no matter how much you accomplish, it never quite feels like enough.

If perfectionism, attachment patterns, or chronic stress are shaping your life and straining your relationship with yourself or others, therapy can help you feel calmer, more grounded, and more secure... without losing the parts of you that helped you succeed.
Counselling Services
WELCOME!
You don't have to navigate this alone
I'm Jenna — a therapist based in Guelph, Ontario, working with high achievers and helpers who are tired of holding everything together.

If you've found your way here, you might be the person who looks fine from the outside but feels quietly exhausted underneath. You're good at showing up for others, but turning that same care toward yourself is harder. I get it... not just professionally, but personally. I've done my own work around people-pleasing, control, and anxiety, and it's shaped the kind of therapist I am today. I'm not here to hand you another checklist (I'm sure you have enough of those!) — I'm here to support you through the messy middle and help you come out the other side feeling more like yourself again.

My approach blends evidence-based strategies with genuine human connection. You can expect warmth, honesty, and the occasional bit of humour, alongside real tools to help you feel more like yourself again.
If you're ready to stop running on empty and start building a life that aligns rather than drains you, I'd love to work together.

IN-PERSON THERAPY IN GUELPH
If you’re looking for a space to slow down and talk things through face-to-face, I offer in-person therapy in Guelph. Sessions take place in a quiet, private office in South Guelph (449 Laird Rd., Unit 13), where we can meet in a way that feels grounded and supportive. You’re welcome to book online—just select the in-person option when scheduling.

VIRTUAL THERAPY IN ONTARIO & NOVA SCOTIA
If getting to an office feels like one more thing on your plate, virtual therapy can offer a more flexible, accessible way to get support. I work with clients across Ontario and Nova Scotia through secure virtual sessions, so you can access support from wherever feels most comfortable. You can book using the same online system—just choose the virtual therapy option.
A Different Approach to Therapy
Here's a brief overview of the primary therapy approaches I use in my counselling services:

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
ART supports your brain in processing difficult or traumatic memories at the root of your struggles so they no longer trigger intense emotional reactions. It’s structured, evidence-based, and often provides results in fewer sessions than traditional talk therapy. Learn more about how ART works on my Accelerated Resolution Therapy page.

Mindfulness-Based Therapies
These counselling practices teach practical ways to pause, calm your mind, and stay present, reducing stress, strengthening self-compassion, and improving focus in daily life. Over time, mindfulness can also help you respond to challenges more intentionally, rather than reacting automatically.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT helps you understand and work with your emotions, so you can respond to yourself and others with more clarity and compassion. By exploring underlying feelings during counselling, we can uncover patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and those around you.

Other Skills & Strategies
I integrate additional tools to build self-awareness, strengthen boundaries, and manage stress, so you can navigate challenges with confidence. I often incorporate somatic and body-based therapy approaches to support nervous system regulation, helping you feel more grounded and present in your body.
